INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS
MAZOWSZE Regional Studies is available in the so-called open access (OA). Journal in the paper version is distributed free of charge to the major research centers in Poland (universities and research institutes) and to libraries located in the Mazowieckie Voivodship. Archived articles are available on line at the Journal's website www.mazowszestudiaregionalne.pl and in the repository BazHum database at www.mazowsze.hist.pl.
MAZOWSZE Regional Studies is indexed in databases: CEJSH, Polon, BazHum and Index Copernicus.
In MAZOWSZE Regional Studies articles from the field of public policy are published. The articles are published in three sections: I. Analyses and Studies, II. Self government, and III. Varia. In the first section scientific articles, case studies, research papers, literature reviews, conceptual papers, and information about the state of research (general reviews) are published. In the second section materials of special interest for policy makers and practitioners from local and regional self governments are published. The third section contains books reviews, biographical notes and information about events taking place in the Mazovia region. Editors do not accept reports from conferences, seminars and other events as well as popular science articles.
Articles are accepted only in the electronic version. They should be sent by e-mail or on CD or on memory stick to the following address:

Submitting an article to the editor is tantamount to a declaration that the author holds the copyright on all materials submitted and the information contained in them does not infringe the copyright of third parties in accordance with the Polish regulations (Act of February 4, 1994, on Copyright and Related Rights as amended). If the article contains pictures, illustrations, charts, maps, or other content for which the copyright is entitled to a third party, the author is required to deliver to the Editor original statement of the transfer of the copyright or consent to the publication of these materials by the author.
In the case of empirical research, funded from sources other than own ones, the author is required to list in the article all sources of financing and / or sponsors of the above research. The author’s duty is also to name all contributors who had input (e.g. consultants, designers, persons who carried out the queries, etc.) in the creation of the material submitted for publication.
Articles delivered to section I and II are sent to the double-blind review (i.e. a double-blind review process – author / authors and reviewer / reviewers do not know their identity) to a specialist in the field addressed in the article. Based on the obtained anonymous review an article is accepted for publication by the Editorial Board. The Editorial Board informs the author about results of the review process and whether the article is accepted for publication without amendments, changes suggested by the reviewer are required or the article is rejected. Application of amendments indicated by the reviewer is a prerequisite for acceptance of the article. When the amendments are suggested by the reviewer or the article is rejected, the author receives a photocopy or scan of the review.
Editors do not return submitted materials to the authors.
Articles that do not correspond to the standards described in the "Principles of text preparation” are rejected for formal reasons.
Articles are published on the basis of royalty-free license (CC BY SA). The authors do not receive remuneration for articles published in MAZOWSZE Regional Studies.
Editors reserve the right to make cuts and obvious adjustments, minor supplements and stylistic corrections, as well as amendments concerning inconsistencies or terminology. In the case of larger amendments the text will be sent back to the author for clarification or adjustments, within a period of one week. Every article after acceptance for publication is sent for proofreading.
